Firstly, this film resonates with me strongly. It’s how I feel about my work, and the hobbies I choose to invest my time in.
One of my favorite insights from the HN thread I found this in: “Time must be used up. You don’t get to just stop using your time until you have something in particular you want to use it for. If making something by hand is rewarding to you, and someone else will pay you for it then it’s probably a good use of your time.”
